Now You, Now Me

You
      tireless feet,
      You
      restless heart,
      You
      ageless bones
      You
relentless spirit
      scouring the known world
skimming a map riddled with legends
      riddled with miraculous myths
      You
persist, enduring
Now your fingers reach the minefields
of my hopes. traversing fields of dust-
      the desert of my dreams
      You
tap on
the land of my sullen back
tap on
      the starving soul beneath it
tap on
the me I refuse to see
Me,
      sleeping feet
      Me
      clamoring heart,
      Me
      shivering bones
      Me
waking
      to your tapping
            tapping
            tapping
me until
      my feet awaken
      and stomp to your rhythm
      my heart opens outward
as your arms and palms display
and my bones realign and follow
      your sturdy centered form-

      You, my new light
      Me, your new shadow
      We look, mirrorlike,
      into ourselves and find
our eyes, they share a vision-
as you see your fitting end in me,
I find a new beginning in you

Come, let us meet-
here in the infinity of now.
